Konrad Malinowski, MD, PhD

I am a board-certified orthopaedic and trauma surgeon. My passion lies in minimally invasive surgery of all major joints and sports traumatology.

I graduated from the Medical University of Lodz, Poland (1997). I passed my orthopaedic and trauma surgery board examination in 2007 with distinction, ranking second nationwide on the written component. I earned my PhD in Medical Sciences in 2008, defending a thesis on the evaluation of an original endoscopic technique for the treatment of popliteal cysts.

Since 2005 I have been running Artromedical — a private practice and centre specializing in arthroscopy and reconstructive joint surgery. Over the course of more than twenty-five years of clinical work, I have operated in numerous medical centres, performing arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures on knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle joints.

I have authored and co-authored over 60 scientific publications (700+ citations), including novel surgical techniques published in leading international journals. Among my most recognized contributions are techniques for endoscopic treatment of popliteal cysts, an original "fan-like" technique for the treatment of external snapping hip, and research on anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using the quadriceps tendon autograft (QTB).

I organize symposia of international scope. For many years I have been serving as an instructor at numerous arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery courses, dedicated to the education of young orthopaedic trainees.
